Inventory Management with Fleet Harmony Online Fleet Maintenance Software

You asked for it, and it’s finally here! Inventory management is now included with Fleet Harmony Online Fleet Management.


After several months of development, we are happy to announce the release of Fleet Harmony Online Fleet Management Software - Release 6.7.8! If you thought our fleet maintenance software was already making your job easier, then take a look at our list of improvements. Fleet maintenance has never been so easy!


The bulk of this release involves the addition of inventory management to the fleet maintenance software system. However, we also took the time to fix a couple things and add some new features as suggested by you, our customers.

Inventory Management – NEW

Like all components of Fleet Harmony, it’s easy to use and a common sense approach to inventory management.

The addition of this component impacted 3 main pages of the system: Parts, Purchase Orders (new), and Work Orders.

To use the inventory function for the first time, please contact us for a quick overview.

Parts List page

We added a quantity on hand, and minimum quantity column to the list view to display key inventory fields at your fingertips. We also added a number of quick searches, including: search by consignment parts, by supplier, minimum quantity, and more.


Parts Page

The parts page now includes: quantity on hand, minimum quantity, and an on consignment checkbox.


The bottom portion of the page now displays inventory transactions for the part and allows a separate quick searching of inventory transactions through the drop down menu, similar to the quick search feature on most pages within the system.


Searching for parts inventory transactions is fast and handy for research, audit, and tracking. Print, save, and share the part transaction report in PDF format directly from the page.

We also added a new Inventory transaction report. This is located on the Reports – Parts Menu. You can elect by date, unit, or consignment supplier. This report also doubles as a physical count sheet.


Work Order Page

If you don’t need to track inventory, no problem; the feature is optional. But if you do, the integrated inventory management module makes it seamless.

Managing supplier credits that are applied to specific work orders is now easier. A new credit field allows you to reduce the total amount by the credit amount. Thanks for that idea, Jamie!


Finalizing and posting work orders is now even more flexible. When there is no scheduled maintenance configured for the unit that is triggered by odometer or hours, the system will now allow the finalizing and posting of work orders. Thanks to Lynn for bringing that to our attention.
